Support services to participants in motorbike

Equipment, material and baggage transportation

The organization has a logistics support vehicle to participants in motorbike and offers some optional paid services. The interior of the logistics vehicle is configured for secure transport of materials, being only allowed to transport cargo boxes of 65 liters (57x39x42cm), provided by the organization. In these boxes should be packed all the baggage of the participants, except for tires and wheels. It is not allowed to carry individual bags or boxes and each participant is limited to hiring 2 shipping boxes. The prices associated with the service are as follows:

  • Box 65 liters capacity (57x39x42cm): 100€ / each
  • Spare tire: 35€ / each
  • Spare wheel: 50€ / each

The participant shall deliver to the organization five days before the expedition start a list which briefly describes the materials that carries and the quantities. This information is travel documentation and is intended for police and border authorities.

Non-potable water will be provided free to all participants who hire equipment transport services, rationed to 10 liters per day. Drinking water is easily acquired daily throughout the shipment.

The fuel for the bikes (gasoline) will be provided by an organization’s supply vehicle in Community deposit, and will be provided daily the refuel places on the track GPS and in the road book pages of each stage.

Return from Dakar to Coruche (Portugal):

  • Enduro motorcycles: 850€ (ex: YZF 450; KTM 660 Enduro)
  • Trail motorcycles: 900€ (ex: KTM 660 Rally; Ténéré 660:; BMW GS 800)
  • Maxi-trail motorcycles: 950€ (ex: Honda Africa Twin; BMW GS 1200)

Return from Dakar to Tarifa (Spain):

  • Enduro motorcycles: 775€ (ex: YZF 450; KTM 660 Enduro)
  • Trail motorcycles: 825€ (ex: KTM 660 Rally; Ténéré 660:; BMW GS 800)
  • Maxi-trail motorcycles: 875€ (ex: Honda Africa Twin; BMW GS 1200)

Return from Dakar to Assilah (Morocco):

Transportation between stages:

  • Fee of 0.35€ per km traveled in the trailer of organization

Notes about the transport of motorbikes in trailer:

  • For the transport of motorbikes in trailer organization provides 3 straps by motorbike;
  • The loading, unloading and packaging of the motorbikes is the responsibility of the participants;
  • The organization does not have, because not exist any insurance product with this finality, transport insurance, so the transportation is responsibility of the owner of motorbike, the organization will do what is necessary to realize the transport safely.

Pack bivouac (optional):

The organization provides a service with price of 35€ per night and participant in the stages with no alternative to the camp in bivouac (stages to confirm). The price include the tent, mattress, dinner and breakfast. This service will be guaranteed by the organization or local partner, the tents are shared by two participants.
