The subscription to a personal travel insurance (with coverage for travel assistance and repatriation) is mandatory. Participants must subscribe to an insurance policy that covers their participation in 4×4 vehicles or off-road motorcycles (depending on the registration) in the Sahara Desert Challenge, together with their agent or insurance company. The Sahara Desert Challenge is a non-competitive tourist event that connects a European city (Coruche, Algeciras, or Genoa) to Dakar (Senegal), through asphalt roads and off-road paths.
